Institute of Sustainable Development and Circular Economy

The Institute for Sustainable Development and Circular Economy, established in 2022 in Katerini and affiliated with the International Hellenic University, plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development. It focuses on research and education in environmental sustainability, covering a broad range of topics such as environmental management, life cycle analysis, sustainable entrepreneurship, and green logistics. Additionally, the Institute advocates for sustainable development policies at the government level and organizes awareness-raising events. Its research activities center on innovative solutions that integrate economic development with environmental preservation. Humanitarian Logistics Laboratory

The Humanitarian Logistics Laboratory (HELP), established in 2015 and based in Katerini, aims to advance research, innovation, and training in the field of humanitarian logistics. The laboratory focuses on supporting supply chain management in crisis situations by combining academic expertise with practical application. Its primary mission is to address the challenges associated with preparing for, providing assistance during, and recovering from crises and emergencies. HELP's goals include conducting cutting-edge research, developing innovative solutions, and offering educational services to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of businesses in humanitarian logistics.

LOGIC Museum of Science and Technology

The LOGIC Science and Technology Museum was established in May 2021 as a museum-laboratory of the Department of Supply Chain Management. Its establishment marks the evolution of the Department's longstanding activities in organizing scientific events, which were successfully conducted from 2015 to 2019 as part of the Science and Technology Weeks.

Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains

Every two years (excluding the Covid-19 pandemic period), the Department of Supply Chain Management organizes an international conference known as the Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains. This event is a prestigious academic and industrial occasion dedicated to exploring and advancing the field of supply chain management. The conference serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, and experts from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions, share analyses, and collaborate on addressing challenges and opportunities in contemporary supply chain practices.
The Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains focuses on a range of topics within the field of supply chain management. These include the integration of new technologies into logistics (such as robotic systems, autonomous transportation, artificial intelligence, and digital networks), environmentally friendly supply chains, as well as modern developments in traditional areas of logistics, including inventory management, transportation management, quality management, and more.
