Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains

Every two years (excluding the Covid-19 pandemic period), the Department of Supply Chain Management organizes an international conference known as the Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains. This event is a prestigious academic and industrial occasion dedicated to exploring and advancing the field of supply chain management. The conference serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, and experts from around the world to engage in meaningful discussions, share analyses, and collaborate on addressing challenges and opportunities in contemporary supply chain practices.

The Olympus International Conference on Supply Chains focuses on a range of topics within the field of supply chain management. These include the integration of new technologies into logistics (such as robotic systems, autonomous transportation, artificial intelligence, and digital networks), environmentally friendly supply chains, as well as modern developments in traditional areas of logistics, including inventory management, transportation management, quality management, and more.

Undoubtedly, logistics and supply chain management play a crucial role in today's globalized economy, as they support the movement and flow of goods along with numerous economic transactions. According to the European Commission, the increasing importance of global supply chains has radically changed the organization of the economy and the production of goods. However, the recent Covid-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerability of the modern economy, as the pandemic disrupted many supply chains at its onset, and the subsequent economic recovery placed enormous additional pressure on the global supply system. Undeniably, the resilience of the supply chain can be improved through international cooperation, diversification, and the rapid adoption of digital technologies.

The primary goal of Olympus ICSC is to provide an international platform for the presentation and publication of the latest scientific research findings in the field of Supply Chain Management. This conference offers valuable opportunities for delegates to exchange innovative ideas, establish research and business connections, and foster global partnerships for potential collaborations. We sincerely anticipate that this conference will significantly contribute to the advancement of knowledge in relevant scientific and academic fields.
