Associate Professor

Dr. Naoum Tsolakis is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management at the Department of Supply Chain Management, School of Economics and Business Administration, International Hellenic University (Greece), where he focuses on designing, analyzing, and managing multi-level supply network operations across a range of industrial sustainability and digitalization applications and with an interdisciplinary outlook. Before joining the International Hellenic University, and after finalizing his doctoral studies, Dr. Naoum Tsolakis had been a Research Associate in industrial systems and network analysis at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge (U.K.), where he focused on simulation modeling and optimization of end-to-end supply chain operations to assess emerging configurational designs for the efficient management of industrial manufacturing networks. Dr. Naoum Tsolakis has been involved in a significant number of Greek, British, and European-funded research and industrial projects. Furthermore, he has published his research output in peer-reviewed scientific journals and in national and international conference proceedings, while delivering seminar talks to academic and industry stakeholders. His research and practice interests are in the areas of: operations management and research; simulation modeling and analysis of sustainable supply chains; systems thinking; system dynamics; digital manufacturing networks’ design, configuration and management; intelligent autonomous systems for applications in industrial, agrifood and pharmaceutical manufacturing networks; water footprint; natural resources’ stewardship; circular economy; and food security.
