IndustrySphere Digital Twins

The research project “IndustriSphere Digital Twins” is developed under the call for proposals for “SUB1.1 Research Excellence Partnerships (REP)”, focusing on the thematic area of Digital Technologies, and specifically on “Smart, digitized industry and manufacturing.” The project aims to develop and deploy digital twin technology to improve the efficiency, adaptability, and sustainability of industrial processes, leveraging scientific and technological excellence and combining advanced technologies such as 3D scanning, augmented reality (AR), IoT systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. The project is grounded in the need to address key technological challenges, promote innovation, and enhance sustainability, with a focus on transforming industrial production towards more efficient, flexible, and sustainable models. The proposal incorporates processes for the development of optimized 3D models, accessibility through web-based technologies and AR, the creation of a platform with up-to-date data, improved maintenance and preventive procedures, transparent training and upskilling workflows, and the integration of sustainable development strategies.
