Dr. Charisios Achillas is a Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the International Hellenic University (IHU). He is an affiliated faculty member of the Institute for Bio-Economy and Agri-Technology of the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) and a scientific associate of the Laboratory of Sustainability Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He graduated in 1999 from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at AUTH. He then pursued postgraduate studies at UMIST (Manchester, UK) in the field of Project Management. In 2009, he was awarded a PhD in Mechanical Engineering by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2003, he has participated in the implementation of a large number (more than 60) of national and European research projects in the areas of environmental engineering, circular economy, and sustainable development. Dr. Achillas has published more than 230 works in international scientific journals and conference proceedings, as well as book chapters.
