Dr. Naoum Tsolakis is an Assistant Professor in Design and Analysis of Multi-Echelon Supply Chains in the Department of Supply Chain Management, School of Economics and Business Administration, International Hellenic University (IHU). His work focuses on the design, analysis, and management of multi-echelon operational functions in supply chains through the lens of sustainability and digital transformation, adopting an interdisciplinary perspective. Prior to joining the International Hellenic University, and following completion of his doctoral studies, Dr. Tsolakis served as a Researcher in Industrial Systems and Networks Analysis at the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge (United Kingdom). There, he focused on modelling, simulation, and optimisation of agri-food and pharmaceutical supply chain operations to assess and effectively manage alternative industrial production network configuration scenarios. Dr. Tsolakis has participated in a significant number of Greek, UK, and European funded research and industrial programmes. He has published research results in internationally recognised peer-reviewed scientific journals and in the proceedings of national and international conferences, and he delivers talks to academic and industry audiences. His research and applied interests include: operations research; operations and process management; modelling and simulation; sustainable supply chain analysis; systems thinking and system dynamics; digital transformation of operational functions; intelligent autonomous systems for industrial network applications; design of agri-food and pharmaceutical supply networks; water footprint; natural resource management; circular economy; and food security.
