Dr. Dimitrios Triantafyllou is a Chemist (1981) and holds a PhD in Biochemistry (1987) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He has been a professor since 1990 (formerly at the TEI of Thessaloniki – Department of Nutrition) and is currently a Professor in the Department of Supply Chain Management at the International Hellenic University (IHU). He served for several years as Chair of the Department from its establishment until 2023. He has acted as scientific coordinator for numerous projects related to the establishment, organization, and equipping of the Department from its founding (2003) to the present, as well as for research projects conducted in collaboration with other educational institutions and social and professional bodies. His teaching and research interests focus on supply chain management of hazardous products and agri-food sector products, as well as food quality control and traceability. Since 2022, he has been Director of the newly established departmental laboratory museum, the Logic Science & Technology Museum.
