Interactive Supply Chain Models for Digital Twin Creation
06.2024 – 06.2026
The InteractiveLogic project focuses on the research and development of pioneering, state-of-the-art technologies for the digital transformation of the Logic Museum. The techniques to be developed will, on the one hand, expand the museum’s exhibits through advanced modelling and representation using virtual/augmented reality and artificial intelligence; and, on the other hand, will lead to a significant increase in visitation and engagement from interdisciplinary communities spanning research, industry, academia, and the wider public. The project’s outcomes are expected to have both scientific and societal impact. Through its scientific achievements, InteractiveLogic will create a Digital Twin that will function as a hub for information, entertainment, and rapid prototyping of ideas in the rapidly growing supply chain and logistics domain, leveraging the infrastructure of the Logic Museum. Specifically, the project will study and integrate AI technologies, interactive animated models, virtual and augmented reality, and data/interface fusion to enable users’ physical and cognitive interaction with the museum’s physical and digital exhibits. The combined use of these technologies aims to create digital libraries and models focused on modern supply chain applications (e.g., transportation, warehousing, inventory counting, etc.). This will broaden and enrich the visitor experience, deliver highly realistic representations, and provide a practical tool for awareness-raising and education in supply chain topics.
