Rather than adopting existing international practices, the project developed an innovative, locally adapted model that combines universal design principles with digital tools and participatory processes.\n\nA core element of the project is the integration of the internationally recognized ColorADD code, which represents colors through symbols, enabling people with color blindness to understand critical safety information. The code was implemented on flags, signage, and informational materials, while its understanding and use were supported through training activities for lifeguards and beach managers. In parallel, the project includes the development of an interactive digital platform that provides real-time information on swimming conditions, flag colors, available accessibility infrastructure, and official updates. The platform is supported by a user-friendly management interface that enables continuous data updates.
